Bondi Sydney Australia
Sushi is one of the loves in my life and when sushi got together with Analog I loved it even more. We used to sell these boardshorts in my surf store in Dublin in summer 2007. They sold really well as they are so much fun and different from all the usual boardshorts out there. I was delighted to find them in another surf shop in Sydney. They brought back good memories and still are super cool.
When guys buy boardshorts they always seem to have a little burst of courage. Maybe it the thought of the sun and fun times on holidays…..

Shanghai China.
In Nikes big flagship stores in most big cities they have a Nikeid section. It’s a design section for customer to use. You can choose your shoe shape, design the colours, fabrics, pattern, stitches and stitch your own personal message onto your personal Nikes.
It’s a lot of fun and you could spend all day there. Each pair retails at the same price as an off the rack pair. Which I think is a pretty good deal. It takes about 3weeks for delivery to either your home or your nearest store.
These are a pair I designed for my brother for his birthday. He asked me to design him a pair that had a bit of purple. I chose purple leather for the toes to keep them as scuff free as possible, so he can wear them on nights out. He lives in Dublin and it can tend to be a little rainy there so leather is always a good option for the toes. I matched the inside lining with a retro check.
As they were his birthday pressy I embroidered his date of birth on them (27th February 1979) 27091979.

I love to travel and traveling means, a lot of luggage! When I invested in my snowboard I had to get a good board bag. Firstly to protect my board, then to make sure I could pack as much as possible into my bag and yet still be able to carry. Volcom, Gravis and Analog do great travel bags and board bags.
I brought my Volcom wheely board bag for 185euro and it’s great. A little expensive, but its so handy and a one off buy. Its has 6 different pockets to keep all my gear organized and has a hard back so it wheels easily. I always manage to cram a lot into it.
I have even managed to go for a week boarding with all my snow gear, board, bindings, boots, helmet, clothes, shoes and wash-bag in the one bag. Handy for Ryanair!

My fancy Iphone 3G cover. I do love it but I have to say it was by no means a bargain! But I couldn’t resist it… Practical isn’t a word that I would use to describe it, but it is fantastic!!

I have to say I love this picture, I was on holidays with my big sister in Biarritz. We had a very chilled holiday. I took this picture one eve at a great tiny surf bar that over looks the beach.
The colours and patterns are great i this picture. I was a chilly eve after a long day on the beach and Jilly’s Billabong beanie was perfect to keep us cosy as we enjoyed our sun downers!

@ my cousin Robert’s wedding.
This is me at my cousin’s wedding, to be honest my outfit was a lil’ last minute. I had just arrived back from Australia and all my clothes were in boxes. After pulling all my boxes apart, I found one of my mum’s strapless lace black dresses she bought when Awear had just opened.
This was also a perfect occasion to wear one of my favourite hats. This amazing hat belongs to my Dad’s Mum, Granny Sligo. My sisters and I have a great hat collection that my Granny kindly gave us. Granny always took great pride in the way she dressed and always looked immaculate. Each week at church she was always dressed in her Sunday best and was always seen wearing a hat. She has a wonderful collection with many different colors, fabrics and shapes.
I love hats of all kinds but unfortunately don’t often have the opportunity to wear them. Weddings are the perfect chance to dust off our hat collections. I love the vibrant colour of this hat and it’s a great shape with a tulle bow and flower set high at the back. I’m not such a matchy matchy person, but I happened to have a great ring that my mum bought me in Oasis (8euro) that I wear to death and works perfectly with this outfit..

The O2, Dublin Ireland
My sisters and I inherited this great vintage butterfly top from our aunt. I have worn it to death. It’s one of those pieces that you have, that you can throw on no matter what your mood and you will always feel comfortable and good. I’m not sure where it was bought, but its made of lovely silk and stiff sequins. It has a good weight to it and moves and swings with you as you wear it. It is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. It’s so handy to chuck on over skinny jeans and its a whole outfit there and then.

Soll Austria.
It was a great year of snowboarding for me, with two weeks in Val Disere, France and one in Soll, Austria, with amazing snow. After owning a boarding shop I have quite the collection of snow gear. It’s one of those things that if you buy gear you love and of a good quality it lasts for a long time.
I always have fun with colours and patterns, and for me the brighter the better. I love the way colour bounces off the crisp white snow. I have never been one really for matching and over coordinating.
Von Zipper are one of the most funky and on-trend eye wear brand. They are always 1st there with the next and quirky shapes and colours. They always have the best goggle range each season. These are my favorite goggles, I always find it hard to board without goggles. They are shocking pink with retro neon yellow and a black strip. They are not just fun but also as technical as they get. They have two lenses one for the sunny days and one for the white outs. The lenses are surprising easy to change and pretty robust. They have seen a fair few wipe outs! Perfect for boarding.
